Thank You!   The 50-Year Reunion of your TJ Class of 1970 has come and gone.   What a great weekend!  Can you believe that by the time we met, we celebrated our 50-Year Reunion two years late?   We reunited on Reunion weekend to celebrate the passing of 50+ years since our graduation and to share the highs and lows of the subsequent journey to that weekend.  We arrived with anticipation, with excitement, with hope that the pandemic is in our rearview mirror and maybe with just a twinge of apprehension at the thought of renewing long ago friendships and seeing classmates after 10…20…30…40…50 years.  Some of you never attended a Reunion.  Some of you have “perfect” attendance.  Some of you have kept in touch with TJ Classmates over the years.  Maybe some of you lost touch years ago.  Most importantly, we arrived at the weekend to have fun and share our past, present and future as the people we are now.  Alot of old stories retold, some stories we heard for the very first time, much reminiscing, and some successful and some not so successful attempts to stay up past our bedtimes!

So WHY have a Reunion?  Here's how one of our classmates explains:

We all followed the path before us, wherever that led. The Class of 1970 is about the people, the shared experience, not about graduating, or your family moving in your junior year, or getting expelled by Mr. Greene, or whatever. The bonds we made going to school together all those years in Dallas are why I always look forward to returning and reconnecting with the people that touched my young life. And you, my friend, touched my young life. Thank you.
