BREAKING NEWS:  TJ DAMAGED BY TORNADO

Sunday night, October 20, 2019,  a tornado ripped through North Dallas and left considerable damage in its wake.  One of the casualties was Thomas Jefferson HS, our Alma Mater.  Cary Jr. High and Walnut Hill Elementary School were also badly damaged.  UPDATE:  YouTube link above.  The rebuildig process is well under way some 3 years later.  TJ had been scheduled for "renovation" before the tornado hit.  The facade is going to look quite different.  Cary Junior High was leveled in its entirety.  Now rebuilding on that property is the "Walnut Hill International Learning Academy" to house and serve the K-8 student population.  I am not sure what will happen to the original Walnut Hill Elementary school campus.  But for those of you who attended Cary, it is no more.  Cary Colts we hail to thee!
