TJ CLASS OF 1970 "MEMORIAL FUND" These monies are used to memorialize Fallen Rebels from our class. We send flowers to a Funeral or Memorial Service OR make a contribution to the TJ Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund (see below). This fund is not a part of the Alumni Association, it's a class sponsored fund and therefore, not tax deductible.
You may contribute directly to the Class Memorial Fund by sending a check made payable to "Julie Wyman, TJ Class of 1970" (please write "Memorial Fund" in memo line) and sending it to:
The TJ Class of 1970 (widely regarded as the best graduating class in the history of the school) has formally teamed with the TJHS Alumni Association to provide an annual scholarship fund to deserving TJ Seniors. The Alumni Association has been providing scholarships through its membership for several years, but has recently started individual class scholarship funds. We are proud to say that in 2018, we provided two $2,500 scholarships from the Class of 1970, and we are now taking contributions for the 2020 scholarship fund and beyond. We will be tracking donations to the 2020 scholarship fund from our class and will be working with the scholarship committee to award our 2019 scholarship(s) to deserving student(s). We are trying to provide at least $5,000 in scholarships to deserving TJ Seniors this year, but we are currently short of this goal!! Every donation to this fund is Important and none is too small!
All donations are tax deductible. The easiest way to donate is to go to the TJ Alumni website at www.tjdallasalum.org and select the “Donate” tab. There are directions to donate directly to the Alumni Association by mailing a check to the address listed, or by Pay Pal or credit card by following the donate “directly to TJHSAA on this website” tab. You may also donate to the scholarship fund through the Dallas Foundation if you prefer and the directions are also on the website.It is very important that either way you donate, please designate that the donation is for the TJ Class of 1970 Scholarship Fund. The donation will then be put directly into our scholarship pool!
Our class scholarship is a great cause to help deserving students at TJ who may not otherwise be able to attend college without our help. As the greatest graduating class in the history of TJ, we need to create the largest class scholarship fund!
