Comment: After I graduated from TJ, I went to the University of Texas at Austin, received my BA in Mathematics. Rick and I were married the week after graduation. Then we spent 2 years in Austin while he was earning his MBA. I worked at the Austin National Bank in the Trust Dept. doing tax work. In June of 1976, we moved back to Dallas, Rick went to work for Arthur Andersen & Co. in the Consulting Division. I worked at the Trust Dept. at Preston State Bank up until Rich was born in 1982. I have been a stay at home wife and Mom since that time. I've been involved in a variety of different things through the years: helping at school, caring for aging parents, church work and Bible Study, cheering for my Longhorns! Rick and I do not have any grandchildren so we have turned our time and attention to more travel. Rick's job through the years have taken us (and him) many places: Europe, Asia, Australia, cruises and more cruises. In the last few years, we have sailed down the Danube, visited Spain & Portugal, traveled twice to Italy, sailed around the British Isles, traveled to South Africa, India and Nepal. Rick and I have been married 47 years, having had our first date for the Cary Football Dance in December of 1966. I have also chaired 5+ Reunions. I had a great experience at TJ and I am happy to give back by serving our class. |
